Hugh is the leader of the ex Borg. At least, he's trying to be. He spends most of his time trying to get the rest of the galaxy to work with him and his people. Hugh is gentle and tries to give people the benefit of a doubt. He has been through a lot, but he refuses to let that make him cruel. Technically, he's a pacifist, but put his people or someone he loves in danger and see where that gets you.He doesn't know where he came from, really. He doesn't know what species he is. ... He's okay with it, he thinks.Hugh has the tendency to trust too easily and wants to help everyone. He's rather naïve. What you do with that information is up to you.

However, if for whatever reason I'm not following you back, you're free to send in memes and the like and generally interact. I just won't thread or plot with you. That being said Hugh is gay and I don't ship in the verses where he's younger (like the acting ensign verse).Standard rp ettiquette applies- Don't assume Hugh knows you unless he does canonically. Don't godmod, etc etc etc. Personals are welcome to follow and send asks, just don't like/reblog threads.Threads are 18+ only- Because that's safer for me, I think. Nothing against minors or anything I just want the boundary. However, if you're a minor and you want to send Hugh questions, go for it! I just won't thread or plot with you. As a note, things may be nsfw in terms of language and violence, but I do not do smut.No transphobia, homophobia, racism, etc- I do not have tolerance for this. Don't be rude either. Be someone that would make Hugh proud.Please have some info about your muse(s) available- Because I like OCs and crossovers and if I have no idea what your character is about I'll be strugglin'. God, yes.Note for OCs and crossover muses- I prefer that OCs have a Star Trek verse but life is short and this is not a hard rule. There are very few fandoms that I don't interact with. These are cartoons and historic settings. Fantasy, comic, sci fi, super hero, whatever else? Absolutely!Important note- I do not, in any circumstances, interact with anything that has anything to do with sibling death. Please, if you post it on your blog and we're mutuals, tag sibling death. I'm on the road to recovery, but it's gonna take time before I can emotionally handle this. Additionally, I cannot interact with anything regarding sexual assault.
Verses
Main Verse (i am hugh)- Set between Descent and Picard. Hugh is (usually) in his early to mid twenties, and has just recently been established as the leader for his people. He's doing his best. Heck, he's still pretty new to being an individual, so being an ambassador and leader? It's hard work! Hugh's friendly, hard working, and very protective of his people.Loves hugs. Loves holding hands. Very much like a cheerful golden retriever.He's slowly getting rid of his implants, but it's hard to find someone he can trust to remove them. This gets him into trouble frequently. Want a hug? Ask for one!Pre Canon (we are borg)- Just a Borg drone. Third of Five. Resistance is futile. Probably shouldn't hug him.Newly rescued (lonely)- Set during I, Borg up to Descent. Hugh has just been removed from the Collective. He's trying to navigate the galaxy as an individual and is entirely too trusting. Scared. Probably needs a hug.Picard era (defend and protect)- Set during, well, Picard! Kind of a WIP. World weary, yet confident in his role as the protector of the ex Borg. He's the Executive Director of the Borg Reclamation Project and he would do anything for his people, even though he is still a pacifist by nature. Alive and well, otherwise.He has a strong sense of right and wrong and will protect anyone who needs it.Needs a hug. Hugs are also freely given. Dad friend. (Lower priority verse.)Hugh stays on the Enterprise (acting ensign)- Objectively the cutest verse. Sending a kid back to the people who had hurt him didn't sit well with the crew, so they just kinda kept him around. He's just a sweet kid who really wants to help the people that saved him. He's a happy, affectionate, nice kid. He's got very little idea what's going on but damn if he isn't happy he's a part of it!There's a constant battle with Starfleet about what should be done with Hugh and a battle with people who do not like him by virtue of Hugh having been Borg. But since Picard is involved, Hugh is optimistic. Even if he doesn't understand most of what people say to him.Doesn't know what he wants to focus on, doesn't know anything about himself, but he does know he loves the crew. Usually the first to volunteer if someone needs help. Extremely naïve. Nicest kid in the galaxy.Hugs freely given.Star Wars (galaxy far far away)- Star Wars my beloved. OT Era. I basically just took the Borg and stuck them in the Star Wars universe. The Empire probably tried to use the Borg to their advantage, but Hugh escaped both clutches and is now off trying his best. Sweet kid, but he doesn't like the Empire very much. Might join the Rebellion if pushed hard enough. Essentially Hugh, but in Star Wars.Hugs? Yes please.General Science Fiction Verse (cy fi)- This is an extremely adaptable verse. I'll adapt to ANY science fiction universe with this! The name is a pun. I think I'm funny, and I'm right. If your muse doesn't have a Star Trek verse but you still want to rp, you can still hmu and we'll figure something out.Pokemon Verse (gym leader)- Hugh's a gym leader! Primarily set in Unova (heheheh Hughnova), but adaptable to any region- including fan regions. His gym doesn't follow any type specialty. After all, the Borg don't specialize in anything, do they? Instead, he specializes in pokemon that evolve via friendship. You know, since he evolved via friendship, in a way. He's still ex Borg, since that's really an essential part of his character. He's the only ex Borg gym leader in the region!He gives out Reclaimed Badges to victors. His team is Mia the Swoobat, Sparky the Raichu, Milly the Leavanny, and his ace- Beloved the Crobat. Hey, he was still figuring out names when he caught her. His gym is made up of a series of puzzles designed to make the challenger work together with their team and he always gives challengers a chance to heal their team before facing him. Every single one of his pokemon know return. He has a snom on his shoulder at all times. It's just how it is. He also has various primary stage pokemon for lines that evolve via friendship running around- eevee, pichu, cleffa, etc.He may sound sweet, and he is, but he's no pushover! He's notorious for being difficult. He's worked hard to get where he is, and that hard work shows. He's just as kind as ever, but you better come prepared!Eldritch Horror Hugh (borg king)- After receiving his fatal injury by Narissa, Hugh convinced Elnor to get him the rest of the way to the Queencell. There, Hugh connected with the Cube... And died.Naturally the Cube freaked tf out. It frantically repaired Hugh while trying to make him a Borg queen. It didn't go great. He's alive, but he looks like a monster.He's got spikes sprouting from his back that function like bonus limbs. His eyes are black with glowing green spots throughout. His skin is mottled and gray, with black and green streaks through his scarring. He has the armor of a Borg queen. His voice is distorted and it's a little hard for him to talk.He's devastated it went this badly, he's angry Narissa hurt his people, he's angry people tried to hurt Soji. Will there be a roaring rampage of revenge? Probably.Aside from that, he's Hugh. He's gentle and kind as ever, just a completely terrifying looking monster. He's still trying to figure out how to use his new body, he's deeply sorry if he accidentally thwacks you with his spikes.He's accidentally discovering new borg king abilities all the time. He's also sorry if he accidentally hacks your microwave. He can't control it yet.
